The NVA file extension indicates which app can open the file. However, different programs may use the NVA file type for different data. This file format is specific for NVA Reader, software to read books electronically. The NVA files commonly store medical books. The book in the file is structured like the printed book.

We do not describe the NVA file format and uses yet. But we know programs that open these files from user suggestions about file types and programs.
If Windows recognizes the filename extension, it opens the file in the associated program. When Windows does not recognize the extension, you must select an app to open the .nva file.
The NVA extension is used for NovaBACKUP restore files. These files contain backup data for restoration. The quickest way to open them is by using NovaBACKUP itself.
On Windows, right-click the NVA file and select Open with. Click Choose another app and select the desired application. If you don’t see it, click More/Look for another app to find other applications.
