The GLA file is a Sothink SWF Easy Project. Sothink SWF Easy is professional, easy-to-use Flash animation software. The GLA file contains a Sothink SWF Easy banner project. Sothink SWF Easy allows creating Flash animations without coding. Use Sothink SWF Easy to open GLA files. The GLA format stores projects made in Sothink SWF Easy. If Sothink SWF Easy is installed, associate GLA files with it. If it still won’t open GLA files, re-download or copy the file. Or manually associate GLA files with Sothink SWF Easy in file properties. GLA files may be defective or incomplete from external sources. Setting Sothink SWF Easy as default application for GLA files may fix issues. Can also download other software that supports GLA files.

GLA files are compressed differently than GLA2 files. You can extract game assets from GLA files using the QuickBMS tool. QuickBMS uses custom scripts made by players. You can then open and edit the extracted assets. This tool extracts the contents of gameloft archives. It is the first real file format I have reversed.
There are 3 file types for GLA: Sothink SWF project files, Ghoul 2 animation files, and Gameloft archives. Sothink SWF Easy opens Sothink SWF project files. Blender opens Ghoul 2 animation files. The gla file extension contains skeleton data for 3D models. It is used by the Quake 3 Arena game. The default software to open gla files is Quake 3. This file type can’t be converted to other formats. It contains data used only by one software.
We know of 2 different uses for the GLA extension. Different software uses the same extensions for different data types. Some apps open certain GLA file types. You may need to try several to open your specific file. A gla file contains skeleton data for the Quake 3 game. This file type is not meant to be opened directly. It can’t be converted to other formats.
Sothink SWF Easy Project files use the gla extension. The format was developed by SourceTec Software. Reading these files is usually done in Sothink SWF Easy. GraphEdit also uses gla files. They store GraphEdit filter graphs in binary form. This makes them important for DirectShow’s streaming architecture. The data is formatted like other binary data files. Other programs likely don’t support Sothink’s format. But the extension is used in other file types too.
