An EDFW file contains text, graphics, and information added to an electronic diary created by Efficient Diary software. EDFW files open in Efficient Diary but require a password. Windows does not recognize the EDFW filename extension. So it does not have a program associated with EDFW files to open them by default.
We try to assist with handling EDFW files. Many share these files without instructions on use. This makes determining compatible editing, converting or printing programs difficult. We offer guidance on working with EDFW files to address this.
The EDF file format stores and exchanges biomedical data. It was created for polysomnography data such as sleep studies. But now also stores EEG and other data. EDFWRITE creates EDF/EDF+ files with signal or annotation data. It uses the header structure and data inputs to set file properties. Name-value arguments can also set properties.
