Delta emulator skins are contained in .deltaskin files. For example, the default skins included with Delta are named standard.deltaskin. These are zip files. Gamers can alter Delta’s appearance using these skin files. Each skin file contains: PDFs that look like console controls and a JSON file mapping controls to screen coordinates. After installing a skin, Delta uses it for that console.
To open a .deltaskin file:
1) Download a Delta emulator skin. All skins have the .deltaskin extension.
2) In the Files app, navigate to the Download folder. Locate the .deltaskin file.
3) Tap the file to add it to Delta. This opens the emulator.
4) In Delta, tap the Gear icon to access skins under each controller.
You can also:
– Drag skins from your computer into Delta using iTunes File Sharing.
– Download skins using Delta’s browser then tap Files to access them.
The info.json file contains necessary information for a skin to work properly. This includes screen size details to fit the controller skin to the console. The default Nintendo DS skin uses a modified SNES layout to fit.
