Some Java Sudoku applets available on the Web also use the .sud file extension. Two file types use the .sud extension – Super Project Analyzer files and Sudoku puzzle files.
The .sud file extension is associated with the WISCO Word Power Sudoku generator program. These files contain Sudoku data and are used by the WISCO Word Power program to store puzzle information. It is not possible to manually open .sud files. The files cannot be converted to other formats by the user either.
You may be seeing the .sud file extension because you are having problems opening a Sudoku puzzle file. To open the file, right-click on it and choose “Open with.” Then select a Sudoku game or puzzle program to open the .sud file. You can also display .sud files directly in your browser by dragging the file onto the browser window. An online .sud text viewer is available to analyze files.
