A QBX file belongs to QuickBooks Accountant Transfer Format files. It is used to transfer financial data. To open a QBX file you need QuickBooks software. If you cannot open the file, right-click it and select a program to open it. The file format is designed for accountants. It contains financial data from a QuickBooks company file. You cannot edit the entries but can add notes. To create it, select “Accountant’s Review” and “Create Accountant’s Copy”. Save the file. The data comes from a .QBW company file in QuickBooks. A QBX file allows accountants to review company data without altering entries.

Import the QBX file by clicking the disc icon. Select “Import”. Navigate to the QBX file location. QBX files store page components in plain text. This includes header, content, footer, styles and fonts.
