The ppc file extension is related to the Mobile Data Studio Project File format. Project files are created by Mobile Data Studio, an application used for developing business applications for mobile devices. These files enable users to save application development progress.
To open an existing ppc project file, the Open option is selected from the Project menu in Mobile Data Studio. To create a new project, the New option is selected and Mobile Data Studio assigns a .ppc extension to the file when saving. File names should be kept reasonably short, under 25 characters.
If Mobile Data Studio is not the default application for opening ppc files, it can be manually set as the default. Right click on a ppc file, select “Open with” then choose Mobile Data Studio from the list. If it is not shown, select “Browse” to locate the installation directory.
Ppc files may also be associated with other applications like Adobe Presenter for adding audio to presentations, the Percussion Studio music tool, or the Garmin XMap geographic information system. But the main association is with the Mobile Data Studio developer tool.
