A VSQX file stores an audio project created in VOCALOID, an audio editing tool developed by Yamaha. Windows systems support VSQX file extension. Use VOCALOID Editor to open VSQX project files. VSQX files replace previous .VSQ files used in older VOCALOID versions. The VSQX format offers the ability to save more data and details of the VOCALOID3 engine. VOCALOID3 supports the new VSQX file and the old VSQ file. VSQX files cannot open without VOCALOID software installed. When you double-click a VSQX file, Windows looks at the filename extension. If it recognizes .VSQX, it opens the file in VOCALOID. If Windows does not recognize it, it asks you to select an application. The .VSQX file extension is mainly used by Vocaloid 3, Vocaloid 4, and Piapro Studio. These applications compose music using synthetic vocals without a singer.
