STORY files are commonly zip files containing multiple compressed files. On average, there are 215 files ranging from 59 to 237. Over 85% of STORY files use the zip format.
You need the Storyist software installed to open and edit STORY files. Get Storyist from their official website to use .story files after creating them in Articulate Storyline. Simply double click the .STORY file and Storyist will open the project.
Some other programs like Indigo Studio also use the .story extension for data files. But most .story files come from Storyist for writers.
