The Atlantis Word Processor uses the COD file extension for encrypted documents. COD files are encrypted with a 256-bit key to protect sensitive written information. The documents can be decrypted with the password the user provided when encrypting. Atlantis Word Processor never stores unencrypted data from COD files on the hard drive. All data is stored in memory and lost when shutting down.
