Osu! beatmaps are saved as .osz files. These are archives containing beatmaps and skins for the rhythm game Osu!. Install a file archiver like 7-Zip or WinRAR. Put files to archive in a folder. Right click the folder, select “Add to archive”. Choose ZIP format. Rename .zip to .osz. The .osz file type can’t be converted to other formats. It has exclusive game data.
.Osz files extract contents automatically in Osu!. They go into the Songs and Skins folders. Making archives Osu! recognizes shares your work. An .osk file extracts into the Skins folder. The .osz file extracts into the Songs folder.
.Osz files have compressed data. This includes the song, graphics, timing, hit objects. It lets players share custom beatmaps. Osu! is Windows software supporting .osz files.
