Select File → Open in Parallels Desktop for Mac, and choose your PVM file. Use Parallels Desktop for Mac to open *.pvm virtual machine files.
PVM files store information for a parallel virtual machine. Parallels Desktop offered a way to run more than one operating system on a single machine. Programs that support the PVM file extension include Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion.
If no program in the system supports PVM files, first download and install one. Usually the system will automatically associate PVM files with the new application. If not, manually select the software to always open PVM files.
To open a PVM file, double-click its icon. If the operating system has the right application and association, the file should open. If not, first install Parallels Desktop.
