DSV files exist as 3 different types. Please find information about each of them below.

A DSV file stores a player’s progress in a DS game emulator called DeSmuME. DSV files are like .SAV files. DeSmuME is an open-source Nintendo DS emulator for Windows, macOS and Linux. It lets players play DS games on their PCs. Players can save progress at any time in .DST files. This allows saving without in-game save points.
DSV file extension is for saved DeSmuME games. DSV and .SAV files are identical. Note: Save files are also called “Battery Save” or “In-Game Save”.
File Extension DSV relates to DeSmuME Saved Game File format. It associates with DeSmuME and one other software program. Windows, Mac and Linux systems can view DSV files. Mobile devices also view and edit depending on the software.
A DSV file extension relates to the DeSmuME Nintendo DS emulator. A DSV file stores a saved game position. DeSmuME ports to Windows, Mac OS X and Unix/Linux. Use DeSmuME to work with .dsv files.

File created by DAZ Studio, 3D modeling application. Contains UV map data for objects in scene. Referenced by .DAZ scene file. Used with .DSD and .DSO files to make up scene.
DAZ Studio stores vertex maps, called UV maps, in deprecated serialized binary DSV file format. Classified as 3D image format.
DSV extension associated with DAZ Studio, 3D modeling software. DSV file stores UV mapping data. DAZ Studio default software to open DSV. Includes UV map data for objects in scene. Referenced by .DAZ file. Used with .DSD and .DSO files to make up scene.
UV mapping projects textures, 2D graphics, onto 3D surfaces. Applied to skeletal meshes so figures resemble painted solid surface.

DSV files store data in delimited text format. The values in each row are separated by specific delimiter characters. Common delimiters are commas, tabs, semi-colons. Each row ends with a newline character. The columns in a DSV file are often defined in the first line. For example, the first line may define date, vendor, amount as column headers. Subsequent lines list the values for those columns. DSV files can contain data separated by any delimiter, not just commas or tabs like CSV and TSV files.
Many software can import or export data in delimited format. This allows DSV files to exchange data between applications. Some specifications prevent delimiter collision – when a data character is mistakenly interpreted as a delimiter. Without collision prevention, this causes problems.
The most common DSV file types are comma-separated (CSV) and tab-separated (TSV). DSV file extensions may be .dat, .dsv, .tab, .tsv. There is no standard file extension. Text (.txt) is not recommended although used for tab-separated data. Web browsers often default to opening .txt files. DSV files only contain alphanumeric text data in columns and rows.
