Files with .SLDASM extension are 3D assembly files created by SolidWorks CAD software. SLDASM files contain multiple SolidWorks part files with .SLDPRT extension assembled into a scene. An .SLDASM file can reference child .SLDASM assembly files and/or .SLDPRT part files without duplicating geometry.
The most frequently used program to handle SLDASM files is SolidWorks. SLDASM files can also be displayed in Adobe Acrobat 3D or Acrobat Pro up to version 9.
To open an SLDASM file you need to select your operating system, then download and install SolidWorks. There are versions available for both desktop computers and mobile devices.
SLDASM files are created in SolidWorks CAD software. SolidWorks can export or import many 3D/CAD/CAM formats. This conversion should also be possible using other 3rd party programs.
